I'm Jes. Born in Washington, DC and raised in Charlotte, NC, my roots in the OG Chocolate City and experiences in the scary, sweet South have led me to be unapologetically black and mystical. I am a full time Civil Engineer and designer but I am a lifetime lover and creator of moments and connection. I write to free parts of myself that are wrestling for release and reaching for some type of belonging. I believe expression is humanity's greatest pleasure.
